Blacktop Streetball Association Community Mural – Philadelphia

Walls for Justice partnered with the Blacktop Streetball Association to lead a community engagement project focused on creating a mural that reflects the organization’s values and mission. The project invited community members to participate directly in the creative process, contributing to a shared artwork that celebrates streetball culture, community pride, and positive youth engagement.

Through open community paint sessions, residents and visitors were able to stop by and take part in the mural’s creation, making the artwork a true reflection of the people it represents. The collaborative process helped strengthen connections while transforming the space into a vibrant visual expression of the Blacktop Streetball Association’s impact.

This project demonstrates Walls for Justice’s commitment to using art as a tool for community engagement, creating meaningful public artwork shaped by the voices and participation of local residents.
